I have often set one of my bird cages by my aquarium. It really is fascinating to watch the birds study the fish and try to figure out what they are.  I'm certain Squeak can recognize their eyes for eyes, and realize they're entities, but what does he make of their slow, flapless flight?  He certainly has no concept he's looking into a tank of water.
